About this studio

Look Studio is a browser tool for creating film Looks. Shape color, curves and grain using a reference photo, then share the Look with 16MM for iPhone.

Start with Default, choose another Base Look, or import a Look you shared from 16MM. Suggest Looks offers starting points shaped by your photo. Choose the cover beside your Look’s name to give it its own colors and pattern. When you’re happy with it, choose Share to keep a link you can open again.

On iPhone, choose Open in 16MM in the Share window. From a computer, text or email the link to yourself, then tap it on your iPhone. You can keep editing in the app, then share the Look back here. Studio Looks need a compatible version of 16MM.

No account needed. The link keeps your Look’s settings and cover, without your reference photo or footage. Photo analysis and edits happen in this browser.

Use the chart to judge tone and color, or preview your Look on a supplied reference or your own photo.

This preview gives you a feel for the Look on a still image. Film response is approximate. Live Texture plays Grain and Dust in motion. Turn it off to hold a frame. Check your Look in the app to see how the full picture feels in motion.
