Terms of Use
Updated October 23, 2026
16MM is provided by Everyone OnThree, LLC. These terms describe using the camera, Film editor, website and Look Studio, keeping your work and sharing media and Looks. For support, contact hello@16mm.app.
The app license
App Store apps are licensed under Apple's Standard End User License Agreement unless the provider supplies a custom agreement for the applicable territory. These pages do not change the license configured for 16MM in the App Store.
Your use is also subject to Apple's applicable App Store terms. Nothing here limits consumer rights or other rights that applicable law does not allow to be waived.
Your work
You retain your rights in the photos, videos, Film edits and personal Look names and descriptions you create. 16MM does not claim ownership of your media.
You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to record, import, edit and share your material, including sound used in a Film. Importing an audio file into 16MM does not give you permission to use or distribute someone else’s work. Use the app and Studio lawfully, respect other people's privacy and take care when recording.
Keep copies of your photos and videos
16MM keeps local photos and videos and can save copies to Photos with permission. A completed capture does not guarantee that its separate Photos save has finished. Check its status in Library and keep a Photos or exported copy of media you want to preserve.
Deleting a linked item can also delete its linked Photos copy through iOS confirmation. Removing the app can remove local working files. Local app storage is not a backup service, and copies you shared elsewhere remain outside the app's control.
Films, exports and project copies
Films are editable local projects made from copies of Library photos and videos. Editing a Film leaves those Library items as they are. Deleting a Film removes its local project files and imported sound; it does not remove the original Library items or movies already saved or shared.
Export makes a finished movie. Choose Download to save it to Photos, or Share to choose another destination. Confirm saving has completed. Exporting alone does not add the movie to Library or automatically save it to Photos. A finished movie does not back up the editable project, its separate clips or its editing history.
Film projects and imported sound are not included in 16MM’s optional iCloud Sync. Removing the app can remove them. Keep finished exports you want to preserve outside the app.
Sharing Looks
Shared Look links include the name, description, creative settings and cover design you choose to share. Recipients can copy, use and forward the link. Avoid including private information in a Look intended for sharing. Sharing a Look does not share your photos or videos.
Availability and purchases
Camera features and capture speeds depend on your device and operating system. Processing can pause because of temperature, available storage, system resources or background restrictions. Keep enough device storage for capture and processing.
Look Studio is a browser editor for creating and refining Looks without an account. Your use of Studio is covered by our Privacy Policy and these Terms of Use. Shared Look links can open in a compatible version of 16MM; visiting the website does not update the installed app. Its still-image preview approximates the picture and does not guarantee identical captured footage. Local browser recovery can be cleared or unavailable, so keep your shared Look links.
Any App Store purchase, billing or refund is subject to the offering shown there and Apple's applicable terms.
